Long-Term Disability (LTD)
ARAG provides long-term disability (LTD) coverage to help protect your income should you become ill or injured and unable to work. ARAG provides this benefit at no cost to you.
Should you become disabled, and following a 90-day elimination period, your LTD policy provides a replacement for up to 60 percent of your monthly pre-disability salary up to a maximum of $20,000 per month.
Short-Term Disability (STD)
ARAG provides short-term disability (STD) coverage to help protect your income should you become ill or injured and unable to work. ARAG provides this benefit at no cost to you.
If you become disabled, and following a 7-day elimination period, STD coverage through The Standard will replace up to 70% of income, to a maximum of $3,000 a week. The benefit will last for up to 90 days, at which point LTD coverage will begin if necessary.

ARAG Parental Leave Benefit
ARAG offers three weeks of parental leave at 70% of base salary to new parents.
Maternity leave for birth mothers is provided under our Short Term Disability benefit and runs concurrently with FMLA. Exact amount of Short Term Disability benefits depends on disability dates as determined by team member’s physician. PTO must be used during the one week waiting period.
Parental leave is offered at three weeks’ pay at 70%. Payments are made for this benefit through payroll. Team members eligible for this leave are able to supplement the 70% paternity benefit with 30% PTO if they choose. This leave will run concurrent with FMLA.
Adoptive parents (both male and female) receive the same benefit, three weeks’ pay at 70%. Payments are made through payroll and team members are able to supplement their PTO at 30%. This leave will run concurrent with FMLA as well.
